One-liners...

From my last post, i've already pointed out the fact that I love music. One aspect of music I really enjoy, is that sometimes a song has line's, or verses, that really hit home, even if the whole song doesn't. I'll usually note these verses as my favorite parts of the song, and will always listen for these as the song is playing.

Many of the lines I like have emotions tied to them, happy, sad, nostalgic, whimsy, etc. I felt like putting below a fewthat have been popping into my head as of late. Bittersweet, or sadness would probably be the emotions attached to these. (Sorry if you were looking for happy.)

I don’t know where I’m at
I’m standing at the back
And I’m tired of waiting
Waiting here in line, hoping that I’ll find what I’ve been chasing.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m gonna to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Never know why it’s coming down, down, down.

--Down, by Jason Walker

Each day, each day I play the role
Of someone always in control
But at night I come home and turn the key
There's nobody there, no one cares for me

--Run to You, by Whitney Houston

The hardest thing Ive ever done Is keep believing
Theres someone in this crazy world For me
The way that people come and go, Thru temporary lives
My chance could come and I might never know

I used to say "no promises, Lets keep it simple"
But freedom only helps you say Good-bye

I know I need to be in love
I know Ive wasted too much time
I know I ask perfection of A quite imperfect world
And fool enough to think thats What Ill find

--Need to be in Love, by the Carpenters

There you go... like I said, not really that happy, but those are a few that I like, and can relate to right now.
